Does it affect the portability of the rack?

Not at all. The extension kit is just as portable as the original rack. It breaks down easily, fits into your existing Gravity rack carry bag, and requires no tools to assemble. Take it anywhere, just like your rack.

Can I do kipping or swinging movements with this setup?

No. The Gravity rack — even with the extension — is designed for strict form exercises only. Its lightweight and portable nature means it isn’t suitable for kipping, butterfly pull-ups, or any movement that involves momentum or swinging. For that, you’d need a permanently fixed bar.

What extra exercises does the extension make possible?

The additional height opens up exercises like full dead hangs, high pull-ups, skin-the-cat, and other movements where space above the bar matters. You’ll also find it more comfortable for band-assisted pull-ups and ring work.

How much taller does the rack become?

The extension adds 30 cm of extra height, taking your rack from 190 cm to approximately 220 cm — tall enough for most overhead work while still fitting inside standard ceiling heights for indoor training.
