Why Dragon Ball Z Has a Cult Following

Since its debut in the 1980s, Dragon Ball Z has become one of the most influential anime series of all time. From epic battles and gravity-defying martial arts to powerful transformations, it has inspired millions of fans worldwide. But DBZ isn’t just about fighting—it’s about pushing past limits, training harder than ever, and constantly evolving.

At the heart of the series is Goku, the ultimate warrior who is always looking for the next challenge. Whether it’s training under 100x Earth’s gravity, wearing weighted clothing, or battling impossibly strong enemies, his relentless pursuit of strength resonates with fans. And it’s no surprise that Dragon Ball Z has motivated countless people to hit the gym, start martial arts, or push themselves beyond their fitness boundaries.

Dragon Ball Z & Fitness: The Power of Training Like a Saiyan

DBZ has had a massive influence on the fitness world. Fans don’t just watch Goku train—they try to replicate his workouts. The internet is filled with Saiyan-inspired fitness challenges, from bodyweight routines to high-intensity strength training.

And this is where Gravity Fitness comes in.

As a brand built on calisthenics, functional strength, and real-world endurance, Gravity Fitness understands the power of progressive overload and pushing the body’s limits—just like Goku. That’s why we teamed up with Dragon Ball Z to create a weighted vest, a true tribute to the Saiyan training philosophy.

Why a weighted vest? Because in DBZ, Goku and other Saiyans train in weighted clothing to make themselves stronger. And in the real world, weighted vests do exactly that—by adding resistance to every movement, forcing the body to adapt and grow stronger.

If you want to train like a Saiyan, you need to embrace the struggle. That’s why we created this 30-day Goku Weighted Vest Challenge—to test your limits, build strength, and train like Earth’s strongest warrior.
